Our story

Since 1997. Germany's first Korean restaurant.

In 1997, the Sin family opened the first Korean restaurant in Germany, here in Hamburg. Since 2025, the younger son, Ji-seong Sin, carries the house forward in a new form — modern and classic at once, with his family's original recipes and the culture he grew up in.

1997 — Germany's first Korean restaurant

When the Sin family opened in Hamburg in 1997, there was nowhere in Germany to eat honest Korean food. No fusion, no Hollywood-Korea — just dishes you'd get in Seoul, cooked from the recipes the family brought from home.

Since 2025 — Ji-seong Sin carries it on

Since 2025, Ji-seong Sin, the family's younger son, carries the restaurant forward in a new form. A room that is modern and classic at once — and within it, unchanged, the family's original recipes and the culture he grew up in. That is exactly what he wants to pass on to his guests: Korean food the way it really tastes.

Family & team

Several generations of the Sin family, a few long-time companions, and a team that knows exactly why the soy sauce has to reduce twice. We hope you'll come find out for yourself.
